19th C. Black Americana Folk Portrait "Topsy"

For sale is a wonderful mid to late 19th century Black Americana folk art depiction of a Black woman named "Topsy". I acquired it from a sale in Virginia and it has been completed in wool Berlin work. The framed portrait measures about 13" x 11 1/2" with sight measurements of 9 1/2" x 7 3/4". The image itself is about 6" x 5". The piece is in nice antique condition, with no significant issues, and it should be noted that it was removed from the frame for examination, and the original wood backing was replaced with acid free cardboard.
