The focus in the shop is on Art Pottery, Textiles, Paintings, Folk Art and unusual smalls. As a collector turned antique dealer, I try to present items that are worthy of my own home...and hopefully, yours! My trade policies include the following. I will accept payment in the form of checks (much preferred), credit cards, money orders and PayPal, I will consider a Venmo payment. I will accept layaway plans that are reasonable. I ship all antiques via US Mail with no international sales. Please email me in advance if planning to seek a return/credit for a purchase. I will accept returns with the items returned being in the same condition as received, within 3 day (72 ours) and the buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. If you are an Ohio resident I will charge Ohio Sales tax at 5.75%. If you are a vendor, your Vendor Resale Number is required. Weller Pottery Vase

Weller Pottery Vase

The Weller Pottery located in Zanesville, OH produced a line of pottery in 1917 called DUPONT. This vase in that pattern features a reticulated rim and well molded form. The vase is considered a "pillow vase" based on the shape. The piece is well colored and has minor nicks from use, none of which impact the important and beauty of the vase Size: 7" x 5" x 3"

This is an outstanding early Navajo Germantown Eye Dazzler mat. In excellent condition, it has yarn fringe and tassels at each corner. This piece measures 23" x 22". Mint condition.

A charming urban scene of a trolley by Hubert Bauer. The artist worked in Britain and this oil painting is signed in the lower front. Original frame. Size: approx 14" x 18". Found in an Ohio Antique Shop.

Pansy Design Applique Quilt

Pansy Design Applique Quilt

This 1930's PANSY QUILT features a favorite flower of the homemaker of that era. Hand appliqued and hand quilted, it features embroidered accents and a scalloped edge with pale blue binding. The batting is thin. Size: 74" x 88". The pansy motif was popular from Victorian times with the flower showing up on painted China and parlor artwork and water colors.

Rose of Sharon Applique Quilt

A popular pattern for applique quilts is ROSE OF SHARON featuring the familiar red and green colors. The festoon border serves to set off the design. This is a Kit Quilt, probably Bucilla, a provider of quilt patterns, fabric and instruction in a "kit" for the quiltmaker's desire to make a formal quilt for the bed. This quilt is on the finest percale and has thin batting. Size: 72" x 100" Perfect for that early American home.

Applique Quilt features an elaborate Iris Tree-Vine center medallion. On white percale, the multicolor workmanship is excellent. This is probably a Bucilla Kit Quilt that is done to the highest quality. Size 71 x 76. Dates from the 1940-1960's

Rosenthal "Flash" Vase

Rosenthal "Flash" Vase

In the 1980's, the German-based Rosenthal Factory issued a line of ceramic accessories for the home that was inspired by the MEMPHIS GROUP, an art and design esthetic that features colorful abstract asymmetrical shapes in the German Post Modern era. Inspired originally by Italian architecture and design, the studio line called FLASH included items for the home and table for entertaining. Bowls, Coffee Pots, Tea pots, cups,trays, vases, candle pieces, etc. were features in the line designed by Dorothy Hafner. Production continued through the mid 1980's-1990's. It is exciting material to view and own! The vase offered stand 9.5" tall and is triangular in shape. Mind condition. Glaze is a soft matte tone.

A Gothic Revival form to this sewing caddy makes it unique. The pin cushion finial is original with original velvet fabric. Interior holds 3-4 spools of thread that exit the body via small crevice hole. The surface is original. Size: 9.5" Found in Ohio

Made by an unknown Ontario decoy maker, this bird has original paint and measures 14" long. The weight is removed and there is no name on the reverse bottom. The form of the body is quite refined sloped to a comfortable end. Some repair to the neck and hole on base is filled.

Greiner Paper Mache Doll

This papier mache doll is in excellent condition with original dress and undergarments. She has leather hands in great conditions and her shoes are on! Standing 22" tall, she has a clear label on the back of the breastplate giving date and Greiner origins. Her nose shows some loving wear. The dress is original and somewhat fragile.

Freshly laundered Blue-White quilt in familiar "Irish Chain" pattern. Fine quilting as seen in the photos. Very clean and size is 82" Square. Perfect to be folded over a bench or at the foot of the bed. Found in Ohio.

Twisted Yarn Mat

Twisted Yarn Mat

This twisted unraveled yarn mat is a striking piece of art! Measuring roughly 40" x 22", the yarn is single ply and is hooked through a fabric base of ticking material. The work is tight and intact. This construction style is similar to Amish textiles but I would hesitate to credit the source to the Amish community. Age: consistent with the age of the ticking fabric, the age appears to be the 1930-1940's. A great visual for the wall!

Wood Puppet Heads

Unpainted molded puppet heads make an interesting collection when placed together. Found in Italy, each face is a "happy" face with a smile or pensive grin. Each head is mounted on a stone base and dowel. Head comes separate from the base in some cases. Size: Each head is about the size of a small cantaloupe. Age: Second half of the 20th Century. The puppet heads are priced individually and SOLD INDIVIDUALLY.

Yellow Ware sponge decorated pitcher features a twisted handle. Surface color is a pale creamy yellow with blue sponge decoration. Twisted handle indicates possible origins in Tennessee or Kentucky. Size: 14: No chips or cracks. Size: 10.5"

Weller Pottery of Zanesville, OH issued a line of pottery known as "Eocean" circa 1906. This piece measures 11 inches tall and is an excellent example of the pattern. There is an L-shaped scratch on the reverse.

Mr. Peanut Wood Doll

Mr. Peanut Wood Doll

The Mr. Peanut advertising doll was made by the Schoenhut Toy Company for the Planter's Nut and Chocolate Company. The organization was formed in Wilkes-barre. PA in 1906. The trademark, MR. PEANUT, was adopted for promotion in 1916. The Planter's Nut Company merged with Nabisco in 2004. Mt. Peanut was honored and earned a start on the Madison Avenue WALK OF FAME.
